Teacher Candidate
This blog was created to practice blogging for my Teacher Education class at Brock University.
Blog Reflection
As a teacher candidate in the introduction to technology course at Brock University I was required to create a hypothetical classroom blog. I found this process was very educational and provided vast amount of information of how to properly set up a classroom blog for all classroom participants to use. I think this is a great tool for students to use in order to interact with people, not only in their own school, but also all over the world in order to generate a high quality educational experience. In my future classroom, I look forward to incorporating this tool into daily routines in order to communicate with my parents, students, and colleagues on a constant basis. Through learning about these resources I now know how to make a productive blog that allows me to share resources, provide classroom routines, and even include daily classroom pictures. Furthermore, this blog also provides the opportunity for me to reflect on my own teaching practices as my students will too be able to comment and discuss (throughout the blog) how I am influencing them as their educator. Overall, I enjoyed learning how to blog and cannot wait to use this twenty-first century knowledge in order to enhance my students love for learning.
Happy blogging teachers!

Make smART Choices!
Hello Classroom 21,
Art is everywhere! I know drawing, singing, and being silly in school plays may seem like a scary behaviour for many of you (maybe for parents too!) but do not worry! We have so many fantastic role models in this great world of ours to look up to and to learn from. Gary Harbo is a kid at heart who has taught people all over the world how to be cartoonists! His online website is a great place for students and parents to learn tips on drawing funny cartoons.
In our classroom this year the curriculum states that we will learn how to show our feelings and and ideas through many different types of art. I cannot think of a better way to do this than through cartooning! Practice some of the tips that Gary suggests and be ready to make silly pictures in class!

My Favourite Three Websites
Parents and students of Classroom 21,
I love online resources! Here are three of my absolute favourite educational websites. Together as a family look at these sites and post in the comment section one of your favourite learning websites.
1. Bitstrips
- Bitstrips is an online site that allows teachers to educate using comics! Have fun creating your own avatar for future cartoon based lessons.
2. Sliderocket
- Gone are the days of lost digital presentations! Create all of your class presentations online and be worry free!
3. Google Docs
- In Classroom 21 we work together as a team! For big assignments work together with your classmates to share all of your great ideas.
Tips for Parents: Look at Fun Brain with your child/children. This website provides educational games that everyone will enjoy!
